This model uses a scimitar blade. The source of inspiration for the designer was a traditional Turkish sword with a characteristic curved tip. The blade has a perfectly developed convex cut , which guarantees excellent cutting parameters and ensures high durability of the cutting edge. The side edges of the convex grind are convex and smoothly transition from the cutting edge to the back of the blade, which allows us to cut faster and more efficiently compared to, for example, a concave grind.
Wooden handle
The handle is made of French rowan wood, coated with varnish that protects against dirt and moisture. The handle has a traditional oval profile that flares out at the back, so the knife rests comfortably and securely in the hand. The hole in the handle has a woven strap that makes it easy to take the knife out of the pocket and allow it to be attached to equipment.
Virobloc lock
Well, the knife uses a "Virobloc" safety ring from 1955. designed by Marcel Opinel. Virobloc has a steel construction and consists of two parts: fixed (internal) and movable, responsible for fixing the knife blade in the open and folded position. The mechanism is easy to use, durable and reliable, which is why Opinel has used it almost unchanged for more than 65 years.
Additives are used
The kit includes a case made of ecological leather and an aluminum carabiner that can be used to attach the knives to a backpack, belt loops or accessories. The case is closed with a metal zipper. A belt loop is sewn into the back for a belt no wider than 55 mm. The aesthetic cardboard packaging makes the set a ready-made gift idea for every outdoor, hunting and bushido enthusiast.
