This officially licensed oversized mug has been shaped in the likeness of the Stoor Hobbit Gollum, featured in J. R. R. Tolkien's The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings. Originally known as Sméagol, he was corrupted by the One Ring and later named Gollum after his habit of making ""a horrible swallowing noise in his throat"" He obtained the Ring by murdering his cousin Déagol, who found it in the River Anduin. Gollum referred to the Ring as ""my precious"" and it extended his life far beyond natural limits. Bilbo Baggins found the Ring and took it for his own. Gollum pursued it for the rest of his life and finally seized the Ring from Frodo Baggins but he fell into the fires of the volcano, where both he and the Ring were destroyed. Gift boxed, this mug makes the perfect present for lovers of J. R. R. Tolkien's high -fantasy novels. It is a great way to display your fandom either at home, at college or at the office. With many companies banning the use of plastic cups and bottles in the workplace, there has never been a better time to take your own mug to work. Suitable for both hot and cold drinks.
