Note concerning the HDCP protection: HDMI™ signals of Blu-ray discs and DVDs normally have HDCP copy protection, at least when video material (purchased DVD, Blu-ray disc, etc.) is played back that is protected by copyright. The HDMI™ standard prohibits the analogue output/conversion of HDCP protected material, such signals are consequently NOT put out via the analogue VGA socket!
