The Makita BDF459Z Drill Driver 18v has a brushless motor allowing the drill to perform for longer per charge. The brushless motor in this 2 speed drill driver is more efficient than the traditional DC brushed motors due to no friction loss through carbon brushes. This lowers the amperage and reduces the heat produced allowing the battery power to be used more efficiently. The BDF459Z drill driver has an electric brake and variable speed trigger allowing for complete control plus LED worklight with preglow function and single sleeve keyless chuck great for one handed drill bit changes.
