Manufacturer: Samura

Briefly about the Samura manufacturer: SAMURA is a team of professionals who create HI-end quality knives with a unique design. The company was founded in 2003. They made their first series of knives together with the Japanese companies MAC and Mcusta. Japanese philosophy and traditions have always been a fulcrum. The team is absolutely sure that the Japanese knife cuts better than the European one. A Japanese knife keeps sharpening longer and retains its sharpness longer. Now they produce 18 collections of knives and a huge number of kitchen accessories. Every year, at least 3 new lines of knives are created. Developers understand that their competitors are huge multinational companies, and the only strategy for success is to be better than the competition.

A whetstone from Japan is a unique accessory for sharpening and straightening kitchen knives of any size and shape. Very coarse grit of abrasive fractions is used for various operations that precede the sharpening process itself. With the help of this combined bar, work is carried out that involves intensive removal of metal. The whetstone will help to restore the sharpening angle, the geometry of the blade and the cutting edge; removal of cracks, chips and other defects formed during the use of the knife; change in blade thickness.

Features: 2 type of work surface
Allows you to remove a large amount of metal from the blade, cut off the resulting chips and notches, if necessary, change the thickness of the blade (if the knife is worn very much)
Before use, it is placed in water for several minutes, due to which a suspension is released during the sharpening process, which plays the role of a lubricant.
The suspension formed during the process acts as a lubricant and coolant, preventing the blade from becoming excessively heated by friction.
Suitable for straightening blades of all sizes
Easy to use

Additional Features: Grit: #3000/#8000grit
materials from Japan. Collected in China.
