Step one

Attach one of the cannulas of the irrigator to the handle by locking it. Fill the water compartment with lukewarm water. If you want to add mouthwash, first fill the warm water compartment and add the mouthwash.
Turn on the irrigator.
Step two

Select the water pressure using the select button; choose setting one for gentle cleaning or setting five for more intense cleaning. Oral-B recommends starting with setting one, especially if your gums tend to bleed or if the irrigator is used by children.
Step three

Choose the function of the water jet. Choose the mono-jet for targeted cleansing or the rotating jet for gentle gum massage.
Step four

Stand over the sink and direct the spray on your teeth and gums, then slide the handle upward to activate the water jet. Enjoy Oral-B cleansing.
