T400 is a brand new battery flash with standard BOWENS mount, 5 years warranty, TTL and an AC adapter (optional accessory) that can be inserted instead of the battery and power the flash from the AC. In combination with a simplified shape of flash and lightweight you have the opportunity to take photos in the comfort of your studio and at the same time realize outdoor projects with one device.
The pilot 10W LED light no longer requires a classic, dome-shaped glass cover that is now flat with diffusion treatment. In addition to two lighting modes (half power and full power), there is also the third AF mode where the pilot light only shines at the autofocus time.
The plastic holder, commonly found on the top of the FOMEI studio flash, was replaced with a comfortable strap mounted on the back of the light behind the firmed lightning construction.
You can charge the battery separately outside of flash, we placed the connector directly on it.
Ventilation holes are designed on the sides to help resist adverse weather. However, the flash is not waterproof.
In addition to the rectangular aperture for FOMEI trasmitter, the flash offers the use of receivers with a 3.5mm jack output.
Overview of features
1) Normal mode
This is a standard mode for all common studio flashes. You can control the flash output from 1/1 (full power) to 1/128 (lowest power) with the rotary control. You can change the power by 0.1 steps.
2) HSS (High Speed Synchronization)
In this mode, you can synchronize the flash with a shutter speed up to 1 / 8000s. Freezing the movement can not be easier. The mode is always on, it does not set on the flash.
This mode is only available with an original transmitter for this flash, or with high-speed sync transmitter.
Holding the C / HSS button, the H1 (lowest power) - H7 (highest power) is displayed on the flash screen. By pressing the C / HSS button again, we get to h1 - h7. The difference in these two sub-modes is in sync when the FX and DX cameras have different shutter-release times. 3) Strobo mode
Strobo mode produces flash sequences that you can set with "RPT-T" (number of flashes) and "RPT-HZ" (flash frequency). The maximum number of flashes is 99 and the number of Hz is also 99.
